Engr (Dr) Moshood Kola Gbolasere Balogun, the esteemed Founder/Chairman of Momas Electricity Meters Manufacturing Company Limited (MEMMCOL), has paid another visit to the ONEIH-KOLA BALOGUN TECHNOLOGY CENTER (O-KBTC).
This innovative technology center is poised to become West Africa’s first facility dedicated to Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) and Drone Manufacturing and Assembly.
The centre will also have a helipad for drone testing and flying.
O-KBTC is set to be commissioned on December 28, 2023.
During his visit, Engr (Dr) Moshood Kola Balogun was accompanied by Engr Taofeeq Olatinwo, a key member of the O-KBTC team and CEO ONEIH. Their tour of the state-of-the-art facility allowed Engr Balogun to witness firsthand the impressive infrastructure and cutting-edge technologies being employed for PCB manufacturing.
He said, “we want to change the orientation of people, starting from Offa. We will then cross to global community. We will attract and invite people to come and learn something germane here: character, skills, and way of doing things. We will change the subconsciousness of their minds as to how to do things. We will prove to the global community that blacks can equally do something better.”
Recall Engr (Dr) Moshood Kola Gbolasere Balogun has visited O-KBTC on December 2, when he had the opportunity to explore the center and gain insights into the work being carried out in the field of PCB production.
O-KBTC represents a significant milestone in West Africa’s technological advancement. By establishing a dedicated center for PCB manufacturing, it paves the way for local development, reduces reliance on imports, and fosters innovation within the region. Engr Balogun’s consistent interest and support further highlight the importance of such initiatives in driving progress and economic growth.
With the commissioning of O-KBTC on the horizon, the technology center is primed to harness the potential of PCB technologies like never before.
