The primary school pupils of the Federal Polytechnic Offa (FEDPOFFA) Staff School had an exciting and educative visit to One Innovation Hub Offa (ONEIH) on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.
The pupils are in primary classes 3 – 5.
The visit was aimed at creating tech awareness in the young students and making them tech savvies to meet the world needs. The students were exposed to various aspects of technology, such as coding, robotics, artificial intelligence, and digital skills.
The One Innovation Hub Offa is a community-based innovation center that provides training, mentorship, and support for entrepreneurs, innovators, and learners in Offa and its environs.
The hub also runs the Kids Koding Club (KKK) programme, which was created for children to learn about technology and soft skills.
The visit also marked the beginning of a collaboration between the One Innovation Hub Offa and the FEDPOFFA Staff School, as the two organizations discuss possible enrollment of the students in the KKK programme. The programme will enable the students to develop their creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills through coding and other tech-related activities.
The visit was led by Mr. Orisunbare Moshood Babatunde, the Assistant Headmaster of FEDPOFFA Staff School, who expressed their appreciation to the One Innovation Hub Offa for hosting the students and sharing their knowledge and experience with them. They also commended the students for their enthusiasm and curiosity during the visit.
The One Innovation Hub Offa also thanked the FEDPOFFA Staff School for the opportunity to interact with the students and inspire them to pursue their tech dreams. They also assured the school of their continuous support and guidance for the students in the KKK programme.
