Artisans Visit O-KBTC, Explore Collaborations

Artisans in Kwara State, under the Winder Electrical Repairs and Installation Association of Nigeria (WERIAN) has embarked on a collaborative endeavours with the ONEIH-Kola Balogun Technology Center (O-KBTC). Their visit to O-KBTC on Saturday, February 10, 2024, aimed to explore potential areas of collaboration.

Led by Mr. Adelani Kamaldeen Ibrahim, Chairman in Offa, Kwara State, WERIAN expressed eagerness to collaborate with O-KBTC. In response, Engr Taofeeq Olatinwo, CEO of ONEIH, conveyed gratitude to the association and expressed interest in fostering further collaborative efforts.

O-KBTC, inaugurated on Thursday, December 28, 2023, represents West Africa’s inaugural facility dedicated exclusively to drone design, assembly, manufacturing, repairs, and maintenance. Additionally, O-KBTC is equipped for Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturing and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA).

Mr. Adelani Ibrahim applauded Engr Moshood Kola Gbolasere Balogun for the initiative, citing the vital role of O-KBTC in technological advancement in Nigeria and beyond. He said O-KBTC is poised to revolutionize West Africa’s technological landscape, fostering innovation and economic growth while reducing reliance on imports.
