In a momentous event earlier this week, Engr Kazeem Jide Olatunde, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of One Innovation Hub (ONEIH), joined forces with Mr Hakeem Majasan Bello, a distinguished Civil and Structural Engineer hailing from London, to embark on a crucial visit to the ONEIH-KOLA BALOGUN TECHNOLOGY CENTER (O-KBTC).
The purpose of their visit was to meticulously assess the ongoing developments at O-KBTC, a cutting-edge facility slated for commissioning on December 28.
O-KBTC is poised to etch its name in history as the first-ever technology center in the region singularly dedicated to Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA).
A significant aspect of O-KBTC’s multifaceted offerings includes serving as a hub for Drone assembly and flying, complete with a designated helipad space within the complex. This innovative approach positions O-KBTC at the forefront of technological advancement, promising a seismic shift in the electronics manufacturing landscape, not only within Nigeria but also on a global scale.
As the momentum of the project intensifies, O-KBTC emerges as a catalyst for revolutionizing the electronics manufacturing industry. The center’s ambitious goals extend beyond national borders, reflecting its potential to reshape the landscape of West African technology and economic development.
With a laser focus on PCB design for manufacturing and assembly, O-KBTC envisions empowering a new wave of entrepreneurs, engineers, and electronics enthusiasts. By providing a nexus between design and production, the center aspires to cultivate a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.
The ONEIH-KOLA BALOGUN TECHNOLOGY CENTRE stands as a beacon of promise, heralding a future where budding ideas seamlessly transform into tangible products. The anticipated impact of O-KBTC on the West African region, particularly in Nigeria, underscores its pivotal role in propelling the nation into a new era of technological prowess and economic growth.
