The participating schools have been carefully selected based on their commitment to nurturing technological and entrepreneurial skills among their students. The Hackathon will provide a platform for these schools to showcase their talents and learn from one another, as well as from the expert mentors and facilitators present during the event.
Over the course of the five-day programme, students will collaborate in teams to take on real-world challenges utilizing their technical expertise and creativity. The Hackathon will focus on various aspects of technology, including software development, artificial intelligence, internet of things, and mobile app development.
The event will feature a series of workshops, presentations, and hands-on activities, giving participants the opportunity to explore cutting-edge technologies and gain invaluable insights from industry experts. The students will also have access to state-of-the-art equipment and software resources provided by One Innovation Hub, ensuring they have the tools necessary to turn their ideas into tangible prototypes and solutions.
In addition to the participating schools, a select group of observers, including representatives from local businesses, government agencies, and educational institutions, have been invited to witness the Hackathon. This will provide an opportunity for these stakeholders to engage with the next generation of innovators and explore potential collaborations.
The Hackathon is expected to not only foster innovation and technological advancement but also promote teamwork and critical thinking among the students. It is hoped that this initiative will inspire them to pursue careers in technology and entrepreneurship, thereby contributing to the growth and development of Kwara State’s digital ecosystem.
As the event unfolds, updates on the progress of the participating teams and their innovative solutions will be shared with the public. The final day of the Hackathon will culminate in a showcase event, where the students will present their prototypes and solutions to a panel of judges, who will evaluate their projects based on creativity, functionality, and potential impact.
